一抬起头，我们就看到了什么呢，有的人说看到的是小鸟，有的人说看到了白云。是的，我们可以看到小鸟，也可以看到白云，但是小鸟和白云不是一直都有啊。那么一直都有的是什么？对了，是天。
今天的天和三千年前的天是一样的。当古人看到天的时候，想用一个字来表示它，该怎么办呢?
人类在观察世界的时候，往往是从自身的角度出发，用自身作为参照物，去描绘自己看到的世界。当古人看到天的时候，想的是人生活在天地之间，脚踏的是大地，那么头顶的就是天了。
于是，人们就以人自身为主体，突出强调人头顶的部位，创造出了“天”字。
在商代的青铜器上，我们发现“天”是这样写的，这个字形看起来就是画了一个人的正面像，但是着重突出了这个人的头部。这个字是在青铜器上发现的，那时把青铜叫做“金”，所以我们叫它金文。金文一般是用模子铸造的，所以它的写法往往比较繁复一些，那个时代离今天大约有三千年。
在甲骨文里，“天”有两种写法，一种是跟金文非常接近的，只是把实心的部分都变成了线条，一种是更加简单一些，将头顶的标志符号写成了一横。甲骨文是距今三千多年前的商代的文字，因为是刻在乌龟的腹甲或牛骨头上的汉字，所以刻的时候为了方便就会简单一点儿。这时“天”的写法，跟今天已经是一样的了。
到了秦代，规定小篆是规范字体。小篆经过丞相李斯的整理，写法比较整齐，笔道均匀，具有对称美。在小篆里，“天”是这样写的。后来，隶书和楷书都把那个弯曲的笔道拉直了，就是今天的写法了。从此以后，“天”的字形就没再变过。下面的“大”表示一个站立的人，用上面一横指出头顶的天。今天，爸爸妈妈常常说，你要做一个顶天立地的人。“顶天立地”这个成语说的就是“天”字的样子。
黑夜和白昼交替一次，就是新的一天，每天都要好好学习，所以我们说“好好学习，天天向上”。由于雨雪雨雾等自然现象也都发生在空中，所以人们称之为天气。下雨、下雪等自然现象对古人来说非常神秘，人们认为一定是有神仙居住在天上的宫殿里，在掌管这一切，所以窦娥希望天能够为她主持公道而得不到回应时，悲愤地呐喊道：“地也，你不分好歹何为地；天也，你错勘贤愚枉做天。”也正因为天上有宫殿的神话，中国的载人空间试验平台就取名为“天宫一号”。
那么为什么顶天立地就是好的呢?
很久很久以前，天和地是连在一起的，像一个鸡蛋一样，有一个人睡在鸡蛋里面，他的名字叫盘古。
他睡了很久很久，有一天，他醒了，觉得又黑又闷，于是随手抄起身边的一把石头斧子，用力地向外划了一圈。突然，天崩地裂，鸡蛋壳裂开了，上面轻的部分是天，下面重的部分就是地。为了不让天掉下来，盘古站起来了，他伸出双手，站在中间，他的身体随着升高的天一起长，长啊长啊，长了一万八千年，天很高了，地也稳定了，盘古累了，他累得倒下了。他的身体变成了山脉，血管变成了河流，毛发变成了森林，眼睛变成了太阳和月亮。盘古用身体给我们创造了一个美好的世界，创造了一个宜居的环境。
这就是盘古开天辟地的故事。这个故事告诉我们，世界起初是混沌一团的，是盘古开创了天地。同时盘古牺牲了自己，为人类创造了一个世界。

On the bronze vessels of the Shang Dynasty, we found that“天”was written like. This glyph looks like a frontal portrait of a person, but the head of the person is highlighted. This character was found on bronze vessels, which at that time was called “Jin”, so we call them bronze inscriptions. Bronze inscriptions are generally cast with molds, so their writing methods are often more complicated. That era was about three thousand years ago.
In oracle bone inscriptions, there are two ways to write “sky”. One is very close to the bronze inscriptions, except that the solid parts are turned into lines. The other is simpler, and the symbol on the top of the head is written as a horizontal line. Oracle bone inscriptions are written in the Shang Dynasty more than 3, 000 years ago. Because they are Chinese characters engraved on the bones of turtles or ox bones, the carving process is simpler for convenience. At this time, the way of writing“ 天 ”was the same as today.
By the Qin Dynasty, Xiaozhuan was stipulated as the standard font. After being sorted out by Prime Minister Li Si, Xiaozhuan is written in a relatively neat way, with even strokes and symmetrical beauty. In Xiaozhuan, “天 ”is written like. Later, both official script and regular script straightened the crooked strokes, which is how it is written today. Since then, the shape of “天 ”has not changed again. The "big" below represents a standing person, and the upper horizontal line points to the sky above the head. Today, my parents often say that you have to be a person who stands upright. The idiom "touching the sky and standing firm on the earth" refers to the shape of the word “天”.
When night and day alternate, it is a new day. You must study hard everyday, so we say “study hard and make progress every day”. Because natural phenomena such as rain, snow, rain, and fog also occur in the sky, people call it weather. Natural phenomena such as rain and snow were very mysterious to the ancients who believed that there must be gods living in a palace in the sky and controlling the earth from above. Therefore, when Dou E, who hoped that heaven would uphold justice for her, did not get a response, she cried out with grief and indignation, “Earth, you do not distinguish between good and evil, what is earth? Heaven, you wrongly judge the virtuous and foolish, and in vain serve as the sky.” It is precisely because of the myths of the palace in the sky that China's manned space test platform was named “Tiangong-1”.
So why is it good to stand upright?
A long time ago, the sky and the earth were connected together like an egg and there was a man sleeping inside the egg. His name was Pangu.
Pangu slept for a long time and one day, he woke up and felt it was dark and stuffy, so he picked up an ax beside him and swung it with all his strength. Suddenly, the sky collapsed and the earth cracked, the egg shell shattered, the bright area above Pangu's head was the sky, and the heavy part below him was the earth. In order to prevent the sky from falling, Pangu stood up. He stretched out his hands and stood in the middle. His body grew with the rising sky. It grew and grew. It grew for eighteen thousand years. The sky was very high. The ground became stable, but Pangu was tired, so he collapsed from exhaustion. His body became a mountain, his veins became rivers, his hair became a forest, and his eyes became the sun and moon.
Pangu used his body to create a beautiful world and a habitable environment for us. This is the story of Pangu's creation of the world. It tells us that the world was chaotic and uncomfortable at first, and it was Pangu who split apart the shell that was the old world and Pangu sacrificed himself to create a better world for mankind.
